Tummy time

While I might not like spending time on my tummy...
I'm getting pretty good at holding my head up on my own.

Lodie's first Brewers game!

Mommy, Daddy and I went to the Brewers game tonight. They played the Braves.
I slept some of the time.
And watched the BRIGHT flashy lights on the score board,
and watched the people sitting behind us. The older guy even set my picture has his phone background!
Mommy was pretty proud of me, and I was glad that the Brewers won. Ned Yost had his 400th victory, and I'm officially 1 and 0 lifetime. I'd say I have a pretty good record.

No spit up!

Lodie has been spitting up multiple times with EVERY feeding for the past month. Most days she spits up just when she wants to regardless of when her last meal was as well. We went to Michigan to have her see Dr. Adam, and now I have a different baby! She's calmer, more alert, and seems to be happier in general. And (drum roll please) for the first time in a month, she didn't spit up with her feeding last night! Wooohoo! I hope that the trend continues.

For Aunt Miss

So, I know that I have been neglecting posting pictures of Melodie for awhile, but things have been a bit chaotic lately. Ryan found our camera and downloaded the pictures, so here they are...a random hodge-podge of Melodie and friends.
Mommy got me a new outfit that she was so proud of, she got me all excited about it, and then she put it on me. What was she thinking?!! Can you believe this hat? I look like a dork! Mom still thinks that I look cute in it, but it's been too cold to wear out yet. Oh man, when the warm weather comes I think I'll be wearing this ALL the time.
***yawn***
Me and my cousin Madie. She's pretty big, and seems to have the looking around thing down a lot more than me. I'm going to miss her when she moves to Oklahoma and Hawaii.
It's been cold when our furnace hasn't been working, when is that warm weather going to come? I'm sure glad that Roger came and fixed it.

I love hanging out with Daddy

I'm just trying to figure out if that thing is real or not...should I be scared or intrigued?
Mommy loves me, but I think that she looks more tired than me, and I'm the one sleeping! I'm so freakin' cute when I sleep on my hands. Mommy and Daddy love it when I curl up like this. This...is my newest trick, or should I say the source of Mom's greatest consternation. I've been spitting up with every feeding for the past week and a half, and mom and dad are hoping Dr. Adam can fix it. Yes, that does mean another long trip to Michigan. (If you look closely, you'll even see it in my hair.)
Not only do I like to fold my hands under my chin, I also like to fold them across my chest and act like I'm contemplating something deep. Mom and dad think I'm a genius, really I'm just thinking about my next meal. :)
Lodie with Great Grandma Ranallo. I LOVE my great grandma.
Great Grandma listened to all of my woes, not that I really have any, but she listened anyway. Sleeping in my crib for the very first time. I love my new bed.
A four generation picture. Great Grandma Johnson, Grandma LaBarge, Mommy and Lodie. I'm somewhere around Great Grandma's 100th descendant! Now that's an impressive family tree.Did that satisfy your picture fix Aunt Miss? Sorry for the delay, my Mommy just was a bit busy, but she's looking forward to taking me on a little trip to visit you soon. I miss you.

Need to find my camera

I need to find my camera! It has been misplaced when we moved, and I have yet to find it. I'm working on it, I swear! Pictures of Lodie Explodie to come as soon as I get it. She's growing so fast, I'm going to miss the bugger when I go back to work in June.

Bath time

I DON'T LIKE BATHS!!
They're horrible!
But I do like my towels...

and being all clean and cozy afterward.

First trip

We hadn't expected to take Melodie on a road trip quite so early, but she did a great job. This weekend we took her on her first real road trip to Michigan, and she was a trooper. Melodie's cousin Hudson was born on Friday morning. He was 22 weeks early, and lived for 45 minutes before going home to be with Jesus.

We headed out to Grand Rapids Sunday night to visit the Kuipers family. Raleigh and Sydney were really excited about meeting Melodie, and Raleigh did a great job of holding her, and calming her down. Raleigh is a great cousin, and Melodie was really happy to have gotten to meet her and the rest of her cousins this weekend.

Uncle James also got to meet Melodie on Sunday.

And, in a picture completely not related to this weekend, but having a Holland connection, the Kearney family came up to meet Melodie last weekend. (Okay, perhaps they came up to visit Colleen at Marquette, but we'll just take the credit for the visit) It was great to see them, and share time with close friends. Mr. Kearney, perhaps next time you'll actually get a chance to hold her. :)
